Well, this had been in the pipelines for a long time. Almost a year to be precise since I was contacted by WWF. I expected to announce it at the start of the year but for some reasons it did not arrive on time. Nevertheless, I have finally received the copy of WWF-Mesmerizing Landscapes, a calender showcasing various landscapes shot across India. One of them of course is mine and the rest were sourced from other like-minded people. I have been told that they were deliberately choosing newer people instead of established photographers for this purpose.
Coming back to that image in particular, yes it was gain from the trip of Valley of Flowers. My first ever trip after buying the camera, first introduction with the Himalayas, first genuine solo trip and of course the first ever travelogue in this blog. It was that very trip that made me even consider starting a website. When I think of it, I have not yet done a better trip in all these years. Am I really progressing?
