From Silicon Valley to Hollywood, there’s so much to do and see in California. As one of the most developed and prosperous regions in the United States, there’s no dearth of quality hotels in California. Here is a list of some great hotels near Los Angeles and other major cities that offer excellent yet reasonably priced accommodations.

Best Western Plus Meridian Inn & Suites, Anaheim-Orange: The Most Affordable

The Best Western Plus Meridian Inn & Suites, Anaheim-Orange is located a few minutes away from Disneyland. It offers spacious rooms with great amenities including free Wi-Fi and complimentary breakfast. You might expect this hotel to be reasonably expensive, but it’s one of the most affordable luxury hotels in California. It’s ideal for both families and business travellers, as it has facilities like a business center, a swimming pool, a spa, and even shuttle service to nearby attractions.

Hilton Oakland Airport: Convenient for frequent fliers

The primary highlight of the Hilton Oakland Airport is its location. In addition to being close to the airport, it’s also near public transit options that offer connections to San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area. Sports fanatics can easily reach O.co Coliseum and Oracle Arena from here, while families can visit the Oakland Zoo. The hotel offers a heated outdoor pool and a sports bar where you can catch a variety of live events. Also, guests younger than 16 stay free with parents.

Marriott Marina del Rey: A Beachside Delight

The Marriott Marina del Rey is located near Marina Beach, and it’s also close to Los Angeles attractions like Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier. You can choose rooms with a beach view or a mountain view. Every room has premium cable TV and video game consoles to keep guests occupied. The hotel also has an open air lounge and a rooftop ballroom for your entertainment.

The Dixie Hollywood: The Name Says It All

The Dixie Hollywood, as the name suggests, is ideal if you want to explore the Hollywood area and attractions such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Universal Studios, Griffith Park, Hollywood Pantages Theatre, Capitol Records Tower, and many more. The hotel is also ideal for first-time visitors, thanks to its multilingual staff, concierge service, 24-hour front desk, and limo service. The Dixie Hollywood offers free Wi-Fi and welcomes cats and dogs.

Stay on Main: A Backpacker’s Delight

If you’re a backpacker exploring the world on a shoestring budget and you’ve just arrived in Los Angeles, Stay on Main can be a great option for you. It has fused the concepts of hotels and hostels, so you get shared rooms with bunk beds or individual rooms depending on your budget. None of the options cost much, but Stay on Main still offers plenty of amenities. When you stay here, you’ll have access to free Wi-Fi, a flat-panel TV, an iPod docking station, a work desk, and even a hair dryer on request

I stay in LA a lot but it is always with friends. We do, however, try and go and stay in a hotel for the night as something different. Definitely like your list of suggests and I will be keeping them in mind next time I go back especially the Marriott Marina del Rey.
