From the sprawling metropolises to the great lakes, the American Midwest never ceases to delight the visitors. However, a lot of places in the region still remain relatively unexplored. Let us have a look at a few such Midwestern cities today.

Rosemont, IL

It is a very small village in the Cook Country with a population barely crossing 4000. In fact the original village is a gated community restricted to the locals only. But it has grown in importance simply because of its location between Chicago and the O’Hare International Airport, which has made it an important center for various economic activities. You can find many affordable hotels in Rosemont that are conveniently located near the airport such as the Best Western at O’Hare and Hyatt Rosemont near O’Hare.

Cleaveland, OH

It is the eighth largest metropolitan area in the Midwest and a major economic center of the region. Manufacturing and financial services have always been the backbone of this city and of late it has made great strides into healthcare and life sciences too. However, it is a favorite of the visitors because of its glorious musical heritage and fittingly, it is home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Playhouse Square Center is another attraction for the lovers of performing arts as it is the second largest auditorium in the entire United States. Scores of other museums, casinos and festivals make this city worth a visit.  For cheap hotels in Cleaveland you should try the western parts of the city such as Hilton Garden Inn Cleveland Downtown and Cleveland Airport Marriott.

Rockford, IL

Rockford grew as a manufacturing hub for heavy machinery in the early 20th century. Although such industries declined, it ventured into new ones such as aerospace, healthcare, automobile and of course, tourism! Visitors here can enjoy the historical as well as cultural attractions such as Tinker Swiss Cottage, Klehm Arboratum, Coronado Theatre and Anderson Japanese Gardens. There are many delightful yet affordable hotels in Rockford including Holiday Inn Rockford and Extended Stay America – Rockford – State Street.

Peoria, IL

Not many people know about Peoria but it is actually one of the oldest European settlements in the continent dating back to the late 17th century. It is also an important economic hub that serves as the headquarters of Caterpillar Inc., one of the largest corporations in the world. Visitors can also enjoy the Peoria Riverfront Museum, Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall, George L. Luthy Memorial Botanical Garden and many other historical attractions. One can find many cheap hotels in Peoria offering quality accommodation such asStoney Creek Peoria and Par-A-Dice Hotel & Casino

Grand Rapids, MI

Grand Rapids is called the “Furniture City” of the country due to its traditional furniture industry. However, it is not only limited to that. Other major industries here include consumer goods, automotive, healthcare and IT. There are quite a few great museums out here including the Gerald R. Ford Museum and Van Andel Museum Center. Apart from them, there are scores of historical buildings, parks and theatres in the city to keep the tourists completely occupied.  For affordable accommodation in Grand Rapids, visitors can try Ramada Plaza Grand Rapids or Motel 6 Grand Rapids – Airport.

That’s a very interesting blog. I didn’t know many of the facts you have mentioned here. I liked the thoughfully curated list of hotels. It’s so difficult to find good ones. You have mentioned the best ones under one roof.
