Non monuments of Hampi

Jitaditya Narzary

Is a traveller disillusioned by the familiar and fascinated with the unknown... and of course the founder of this blog.

As I was just going through my old Hampi travelogue I felt a sudden bout of nostalgia. I have not been to the Deccan for a long time. The way it is going, I am unlikely to make it anytime soon. So, in order to make up for the same, I just went to my old albums and edited some of the old photographs. These are not about the monuments, what ch have been discussed extensively before. Instead, these are about the natural landscapes around Hampi, the sensuous Tungabhadra, blazing, bald hillocks, verdant fields of millet (or is it Sorghum? I’m not good at this)…

The toughest job in the world is to capture the real essence of something in a three dimensional world onto the two dimensional one. Kudos to you, Jitaditya for having accomplished this feat. I am not very familiar with the names of the monuments, but they are beautiful.
