I hardly take part in the contests mostly because I fail to meet the deadlines. But when I discovered the Capture the Colour contest by Travel Supermarket, was really excited. Because it was pretty simple and although sub par, I had stuff that suited the theme. So, without wasting any more time, let me just share my entries,
Yellow: The Scarecrow
A not so scary scarecrow with a schoolbag lording over the mustard field. It was a nondescript village en route to a rarely known National Park with a lot of Rhinos.
Red: A Caged Fantasy
The Mehrangarh Fort was being decorated for some ceremony. Coloured glassed as well as colourful curtains filtered the sunlight to create a surreal sight. I do not know if others can feel my emotions regarding this image. Anyways I find it insanely arousing because it reminds me of a certain erotic film. I feel that someone is hiding out there, along with a talking parrot.
Green: Show me a Greener Valley
This is the secluded Karsog Valley in the lower Himalayas. It was monsoon and I do not really think it could be greener than this. I think it is self explanatory.
White: Can it do with a bit of Green?
It was a hard choice. Snowscape or cloudscape? Or just a flying Egret? I finally decided to go with my good old postcard from the Valley of Flowers. Yes the resplendant green is overpowering, but I think there is enough white in this image.
Blue: Walking into the azure sky… literally…
The Sach Pass is a desolated paradise at more than 4400 meters. And as you can see, the ancient serpentine trail plunges right into the azure sky.
Since I am supposed to nominate five more people as a part of this competition, I choose a few, who I think are pretty good.
