Street Photography: Ganesh Chaturthi 2012, Bangalore

Jitaditya Narzary

Is a traveller disillusioned by the familiar and fascinated with the unknown... and of course the founder of this blog.

I was just wandering on the streets when I realized that tomorrow is Ganesh Chaturthi. The realization would not have been so delayed and subdued if it was Mumbai. But in Bangalore it is comparatively low key. But when I saw those roadside vendors selling Ganesha idols, flowers, banana leaves and sugarcane, I realized that I missed a good photographic opportunity.

So, I just took a few pictures using my phone. I also edited them using the in camera software with jarring effects. Anyways, it is too late to complain now, here is what I could salvage.

In case you are wondering, the phone is Xperia Arc S with 8MP camera.
