I am publishing a few photographs I tool last winter in Assam. These are mostly barren landscapes during a foggy morning with sudden dashes of colour occasionally. The winter in Assam is not extremely harsh but a pleasant one. These snaps were taken around the time of Magh Bihu, the festival that is celebrated after harvest. That is why the paddy fields look extremely barren.
I also developed an unhealthy fascination for the Graduated Tint tool in Picasa during this process which is responsible for these loud and jarring colours.
